My Priorities

Year-Round Organizing Infrastructure

Building a strong Democratic Party means more than just winning elections. Here's how we'll create lasting community connections:

  • Host regular community events focused on connection and relationship building, not fundraising or phone banking

  • Establish town halls where Democratic leaders hear directly from constituents about local issues

  • Organize informal meet-and-greets to make party leaders accessible to everyday Utahns

  • Create new volunteer opportunities that go beyond traditional campaign activities

  • Build partnerships with local community groups and organizations

  • Develop an engaged network of citizens ready to take action year-round

  • Maintain consistent presence in communities across Utah

The result? Trust and relationships that create lasting progressive change in Utah. This isn't about showing up just before Election Day – it's about being there for our communities every single day of the year.

Transparency and Accountability

The Utah Democratic Party must operate with complete transparency. Here's my commitment:

  • Ensure all Executive Committee meetings are properly documented and minutes made public

  • Follow UDP and DNC requirements for open meetings and record-keeping

  • Implement regular, detailed financial reporting

  • Establish clear procedures for all major decisions

  • Create multiple channels for member input and feedback

  • Maintain open communication between party leadership and members

  • Give every Democrat a real voice in our party's direction

Secret decisions breed division and mistrust. When everyone has access to information and a seat at the table, we can focus our energy where it belongs: creating positive change for Utah families.

Early Candidate Development and Support

Winning campaigns start long before Election Day. Here's my plan to build a strong candidate pipeline:

  • Begin candidate recruitment and development 18-24 months before elections

  • Create comprehensive training programs that go beyond basic campaign skills

  • Connect aspiring candidates with experienced mentors

  • Help build early relationships with community leaders

  • Support preliminary outreach efforts in target districts

  • Provide tools and resources for effective campaigning

  • Develop tested messaging before campaign season begins

When we invest in candidates early, they start their campaigns with:

  • Established community connections

  • Confident campaign skills

  • Strong support networks

  • Clear, tested messaging

  • Deep understanding of their districts

This long-term approach ensures we have qualified candidates ready to step up and serve their communities effectively.

Turbo-Charged Communications Strategy

In today's digital world, we need year-round communication that reaches Utahns where they are. Here's my plan:

  • Build a professional, data-driven messaging approach across all platforms

  • Maintain consistent digital presence, including off-year paid advertising

  • Create rapid response capabilities to counter misinformation quickly

  • Develop targeted content that educates voters about local issues

  • Highlight Democratic solutions to Utah's challenges

  • Track and expose harmful Republican policies in real-time

This approach includes:

  • Strategic geotargeting in key districts

  • Message testing and refinement

  • Engagement metric tracking

  • Brand awareness building

  • Year-round paid advertising presence

  • Real-time legislative session coverage

The goal? Making Democratic values and solutions part of Utah's daily conversation – not just during election season.
